The discovery of some letters from America, started our quest for more 
information about our far flung "cousins" who emigrated from the parish of 
Schwartow, and nearby areas in Lauenburg, Pommern, Prussia (now in Poland), in 
the latter part of the 19th century. These siblings emigrated to America, New 
Zealand and Australia.
I have tried to piece together a small tree showing 
what we think are some Pioch /Schroeder relationships.
This website is 
created to perhaps find and make contact with more family connections. I am 
indebted to those members of our extended family who have provided information 
so far. Please feel free to email me with corrections and updates. Also thanks 
to unrelated friends in America who have been so helpful.

some dates are only estimates based on census/death/or marriage 
information.

Update August 2005:
Some recent discovery of 
information from the parish registers of Schwartow lodged at the Archives in 
Gdansk has enabled an update of these pages.
The most significant of these 
was the death entry for Wilhelm Friederich Schröder, listing his children but 
unfortunately not his wife.(Kirchenbücher, Schwartow Kreis Lauenburg,Pommern, 
Archiwum Panstwowe w Gdansku, Sterbe-register 1853/41.)
